Why Donate Us?
We are a non government organization,
dedicatedly engaged in creating employment opportunities and
providing employment to people in rural areas. Being a Non-Profit Making Organization, we have no stake in profit made by the sale of
Khadi products, however we promote and facilitate the development of
Khadi garments which are made out of hand-spurn yarn by rural women.
As the cost chart for all Khadi
products is prepared by Khadi and Village Industries Commission, so
we do not have any monetary source but donations in order to
promote this cause, conduct research & development, and acquire
better technology, moreover assist in the development and
establishment of Khadi in rural areas. It is true that a majority of
female workers spin threads on a Charkha (A Traditional Spinning
Implement), therefore they get less wages, besides the quality of
thread is comparatively poor.
Because of their grim financial
condition, weavers are not in position to buy modern looms and they
continue to work with old and outdated equipment. As a result,
production is less, quality is poor, and wages are so minimal that
they cannot even eke out a living. As a matter of fact, Damocles's
sword is hanging over Khadi because of inadequate infrastructure and
outdated technology. So we are committed and planned to replace
obsolete looms with modern and sophisticated spinning machines, but for
that there is a drastic need of money. It is the
responsibility of each citizen of India to save this labor intensive
occupation that is a great source of employment in rural areas.
Those who want to come forward with money for
keeping Khadi alive are most welcome.
In addition, we are also engaged in
championing other causes and undertaking different projects and we
receive funds for accomplishing these projects.
Full detail of the projects is
mentioned in the profile.
